SEAMUS

SEAMUS - is now eight years old and in good health, but it might have been so different. His situation was notified to the Irish Red Setter Rescue Charitable Trust three years ago when he was diagnosed with Diabetes Insipidus, a serious illness. The treatment administered by
injection is expensive, needs monitoring and is required for life. Seamus belongs to a young man whose mother had died just before Seamus became ill; he was their dog. Alone with all the problems that arise at times like this Seamus's insurance lapsed; but now because the Trust is paying the veterinary fees Seamus is doing well and a young man still has his dog.

"The Trustees regret to announce that Seamus was put to sleep on 15th. November 2008, following a massive stroke. His owner, James Bryant, has written to the Trustees thanking them for their "fantastic support for over 4 years" which gave Seamus such a "superb quality of live and brought joy to him (James) and his family"."
